Summer 2009 Orgone

by lena on Sep.01, 2009, under Orgone, Slideshow blog

It has been an amazing summer and so much fun was had that I was too busy to make much playful orgonite.  Made lots and lots of TB’s and a few charging plates that have all gone to good homes :-)

I tried making an experimental mini CB with small pipes and lots of nano orgonite with extra minerals in layers and it is really sweet.  The glow in the dark stuff is getting better but unfortunately it doesn’t glow bright for very long after a charge.

Linville Falls

by lena on Sep.01, 2009, under Nature, Slideshow blog

There is a special fascination with waterfalls when you get to see the power of water in motion.  Linville falls in North Carolina are well worth visiting and an amazing place to spend some time – a place where the sound of the water will help you find you peace and the surrounding nature can take your breath away :-)

Linville Caverns

by lena on Sep.01, 2009, under Nature, Slideshow blog

After much searching we found a place in North Carolina we could visit some caverns.  Linville caverns is off the 221 highway and it’s a beautiful drive getting there.  The caverns are found inside a mountain called “Humpback Mountain” and they have a visitor center set up with guides taking you inside.  There were a lot of amazing rock formations waiting to get photographed :-)

Orange orb

by lena on Sep.01, 2009, under Nature, Slideshow blog

Went driving in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina the other day and took some pictures of a place we had visited and gifted before.  Once I came home and saw the pictures I saw this thing… which seemed to hang out in this one spot.  I took quite a few pictures of the panoramic view and there are none in the other shots, just in this particular spot in two shots, like flickering in and out.   I have enlarged it to get a closer look, it almost looks like a jellyfish.

Charleston Aquarium

by lena on Jun.29, 2009, under Nature, Slideshow blog

Went to the Aquarium in Charleston and had a great day out playing and taking photos.   This was a great place to visit – no feelings of sadness due to animals in cages and I’m pretty OK with fish in tanks – especially this big  :-)   I used to scuba dive quite a lot years ago and have not been underwater for many years but this was a definite inspiration to go back – this is such a wondrous and quiet world that is so different from ours.

Being that I love turtles it was pretty special to be able to see them this close and there were many different kinds.  Absolutely love the way the jellyfish shots came out since I didn’t think I would be able to capture their glow and they ended up posing very nicely.

They also rescue some birds that would otherwise not have made it and I got a shot of an eagle close up and he didn’t seem to mind too much.  The little owl was blind so I was told it was OK to use flash while shooting it, which made it come out much better than the eagle shot.

Spring and early summer orgonite

by lena on Jun.14, 2009, under Orgone, Slideshow blog

I have been too busy to post pictures of my artsy pieces in a while, so here are some of pretty stuff I have made in the past couple of months.

I have started gifting gifters and very much enjoy that!  Many of these pieces went to orgonite makers around the world to show my gratitude and appreciation for the work they do.

Pollination

by lena on Apr.08, 2009, under Favorite quotes, Slideshow blog

Semen is Latin
for a dormant, fertilized,
plant ovum -
a seed.
Men’s ejaculate
is chemically more akin
to plant pollen.
See,
it is really
more accurate
to call it mammal pollen.

To call it
semen
is to thrust
an insanity
deep inside our culture:
that men plow women
and plant their seed
when, in fact,
what they are doing
is pollinating
flowers.

Now.
Doesn’t that change everything between us?

A Favorite Lemurian

by lena on Apr.05, 2009, under Crystals, Lemurians, Slideshow blog

This is a favorite Lemurian seed crystal that weighs over three pounds.  There are no tricks or Photoshop involved in taking these photos, just colored lights.  Lemurians are the most amazing crystals I have come across so far.

There is a whole world in there… LOL

That crystal…

by lena on Apr.01, 2009, under Crystals, Slideshow blog

This is a crystal that photographs just amazing… especially when you get light refracting through it. I’ve had questions after the first photos of what other pictures I took of it so that’s why there are so many – I’ve tried many few different ways to play with the light and will post pictures that are fuzzy too.

These pictures are all of the same crystal – Enjoy!

Beautiful food

by lena on Mar.27, 2009, under Nature, Slideshow blog

It is so much more interesting to eat food when it has been prepared with love…

These are some of the meals I have been lucky enough to share with good friends.
